There was no way to recover except by repeated forced shut-downs and learning how to get to the install disk to de-install as fast as possible. Unfortunately the de-install does not take place quickly enough and the system freezes in the middle of the de-install. What a disaster of a product!!!!! I remains to be see if I have ever recover my corporate laptop ...
