 Rating:  - Works Great, Awkward InterfaceFor anyone who has used Microsoft Streets & Trips for years, as I have, and loved it, Delorme products have a learning curve. I have tried their products over the years for the laptop but have always gone back to S&T, especially now with voice commands and nice screen improvements. The Delorme product for the handheld is a step above S&T for the handheld in that you do get voice directions and can route a trip right on the Ipaq. Both products work great with bluetooth GPS. Just in case it may not be that effective, I also brought print-outs with the corresponding directions but I never needed it. The setting was a little confusing in the beginning as I don't usually read the manual. The voice direction was handy and it would recalculate the route when I missed a turning point. My entire subdivision is absent from map (we have occupied this home for 6 years) as is our nearby community hospital (which was there well before our subdivision). How could I ever trust this software to find my way around an unfamiliar area. I am very disappointed and the seller would not accept a return even for store credit. |
