Now that I went back and saw them on this collection, the few good live action segments are the only things that are keeping me from making a fire out of this collection. The cartoons had such terrible stories, jokes and animation. I liked Dennis Hopper playing Koopa in the '93 movie, but the lines they gave this guy, and the look of him, almost made me want to throw up. For the live action segments, ... You have all the characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool ( It became Princess Peach in 2000 ), Toad, Bowser Koopa, Koopa Troopa, Koopa Kids ( Not 'Til Super Mario Bros. 3 ), Yoshi ( The Mario Log In ). The animation of these classic games went to life. The Mario character started in the 1981 game Donkey Kong and know it is for whole new systems and better and better and better as a video game series. The show was a good improvement ... The best part is that I was only 6 or 7 years old when this first came on, and I could only remember 2 episodes distinctly, so the other 22 episodes are new to me. I remember not liking the live action parts, but I found out that is just because I saw 2 bad segments. 5 or 6 minutes of the show is live action, and the other 17 minutes is the cartoon story. They never have anything to do with eachother, and the cartoon is way ... Read More Rating: - HEY PAISANOS!!Well I was soooooo happy when I found out that one of my child hood shows were hitting DVD! So I went on here and looked at the reviews. I was a little scared at first to purchase when I started to see people saying that there were no live action segments. I thought to myself if the people who put this DVD were to take that out the show would't be a show at all because the live action segments are what made the show so intresting. So finally I took the bull by the horns and just went with my gut and got it myself. ...
