Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Chibi rockin robo!
I loved this game, the feeling of running around a common family house and helping the family was great. This is one of those excellent video games that actually creates an experience- once you are immersed in an experience and find yourself forgetting its a video game that's a good sign of success.

I love the idea of making choices which could affect the lives of the family. Although in this gamecube installment the story follows a general set script, I would love to see more choices ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great game for patient adults
Chibi Robo is very cute, but that doesn't mean it's a children's game. It starts slowly and can be repetitive towards the end. You do have to watch cut-scenes and you may be trapped watching the same cut scene again if you talk to characters more than they have things to say. Your mission is to basically clean house and make the family happy, a premise that sounds like it could be a turn-off. In my experience it isn't, as when I played it in my house two of my non-gaming housemates (ladies) got ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great game. Wish it was a bit more open-ended...
This game is incredibly fun and creative. Unfortunately, it's not as open-ended as I would have liked it to be. There are definite steps you have to take in order to unlock certain things and move the story forward (which, unfortunately, only progresses along the one path).

Once you finish the game, it lets you continue, but since you've already achieved most, if not all of your goals, it's mostly about seeing how much money you can collect. This would be fun and interesting if the game ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Charming.
Chibi Robo is a very cute little puzzle/adventure game. It isn't exciting to play, but it is very engaging and charming. I found it to be a lot of fun. The gameplay is built around a series of mini-missions that require you to get your four-inch-tall robot up on high places, gather items, and explore. You acquire upgrades as the game progresses. The game has an overall goal, too. There is a plot of sorts, that moves forward with the game, too. If you are easily amused by quirky characters and whimisical ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - It's just not good...
I bought this game based on the reviews written here. Trust me, it's not a good game. I'd say the age group it targets is a window of 7-8 years old, because they have to be old enough to read well, but young enough to think this cutesy game is worth playing.

A pet peeve of mine is a game that stops the action and makes you read something. Even Mario Sunshine was guilty of this. A better example is Metroid Prime, where reading is not mandatory. Chibi Robo tries to be a story game or something. It sure ... Read More
