Editorial Review: Product Description: Amazon.com Product Description: If you're plagued by back pain or suffer from stress overload, consider the Teeter Hang Ups F9000 inversion table, which helps to counter the effects of too much time spent sitting, standing or moving repetitively. It's also a great way to add extra crunch to exercises like sit-ups. The Teeter Hang Ups F9000 rotates on a pivot system. With simple arm movements (rotation is accomplished by shifting the weight of the arms), the table easily rotates to any comfortable angle. The smooth rotation allows for oscillation and intermittent traction. Adjustable roller hinges allow you to pre-select three levels to control the aggressiveness of rotation, and the tether strap allows you to pre-select the maximum angle of inversion. Comfortable ankle clamps hold you securely while inverting. Corner feet increase the A-frame base by 20 percent, reduce sliding on hard surfaces and protect floors. An easy-to-reach ratchet handle opens and closes with the push of a button, eliminating the need to reach to the ankles to secure the foot clamps. It's able to lock at full 90 degrees inversion (this is only possible when using the more aggressive roller hinge setting). While at 90 degrees, you can perform inverted sit-ups and squats. The table is self-controlled and can be unlocked with simple arm movements. Feature Detail:
The F9000 Inversion Table folds compactly for storage in a closet or in a corner. The nylon mat can be removed for washing. Every table comes with an instructional DVD and laminated owner's manual. Manufacturer's Warranty Five-year warranty covers all components About Inversion Tables Back pain is an uncomfortable and cumbersome ailment for millions of people. It can strike repeatedly and without warning, nearly paralyzing its victims with pain and discomfort. Inversion therapy is an excellent way to prevent and treat chronic or recurring back pain. This form of therapy treats back pain by hanging a person upside-down by their ankles. The only problem with this therapy is a risk of spinal injury because of the procedure's lack of support. Fortunately, inversion tables remove this risk. A person can lie on an inversion table, and then gradually turn themselves upside down, always fully supported by their ankles. With precise balance, simple arm movements control the rotation of the inversion table. Special tether straps or locking hinges allow users to stop a rotation at just the right angle in order to stretch a specific place in their back. This technique has proven effective for relieving spine compression, elongating the spine, and reversing minor spinal dislocations. Of course, this treatment is not for everyone. People with glaucoma, very high blood pressure, bone disorders, or a history of severe spinal injury or surgery should be careful and check with a physician before administering inversion therapy. However, with a bit of practice and caution, inversion tables can be your ticket to a pain-free and healthier back. About Teeter Hang Ups Roger and Jennifer Teeter founded Hang Ups Inversion Products in 1981 and have been dedicated to manufacturing quality inversion products ever since. Roger and Jenny truly believe in the benefits of this simple, natural form of therapy that has been around since 400 BC. In the late 1970's, Roger tried many forms of therapy to help manage his pain. He finally discovered that by inverting, he was able to relieve his back pain and begin the road to recovery. He credits inversion for keeping him pain free, healthy, and active. Inversion has changed Roger's life, and now he is dedicated to sharing his knowledge of inversion and quality products. STL International, creator of Teeter Hang Ups brand inversion equipment, has pioneered standards for quality and performance in the inversion market. All Teeter Hang Ups F-series inversion tables are classified in accordance with UL 2601-1 (medical equipment in a clinical setting), a rigid specification that tests the structural integrity of the equipment. I've suffered with very serious back problems for many years and after researching the various products available, it was a no-brainer in deciding on this item. I was a bit worried at first, because having suffered through such pain for so long, I didn't know what to expect upon first using the "Hang Ups". To my surprise and great pleasure, the item is everything it was advertised to be and more. I used it cautiously at first and I was soon looking ... Read More Rating: - Great product. The Teeter Hang Ups F9000 Inversion Table is everything we thought it would be. It is very sturdy and well built, and it folds up really easily for storage. It was really easy to assemble. You can fully invert or set the tether at several different angles, so that you can hang without worrying about your movements flipping you over more than you want. I've only had it for a month or so but it really does seem to help with my shoulder and neck pain. Rating: - motion sicknessDo not buy this item,if you have motion sickness. It gave me motion sickness a lot. I can't stand it anymore. Rating: - Rock Solid, Quick Back Relief.I love the F9000 it went together nice and easy and is very stable something I was worried about as I am 6'1" 220lbs. I have trouble with my L3, L4 and L5. I noticed some relief after about a week and that alone made it worth the cost. The one thing you might want to consider is buying the F7000 if you have weak ankles as you can buy the inversion boots. Hanging by boots is a bit more comfortable. The F7000 is, I believe, identical to the F9000 except for the ratchet handle on the ankle clamps. All in all ... Read More |
