Before purchasing this, I went to Sears and bought a "real" air compressor, oil-lubricated and all. This was way overkill for what I needed (to fill my tires), was messy, and very heavy. To top it off, every time I used it in the garage, it caused the circuit breaker to flip. The Bon-Aire unit, conversely, is much lighter, more compact, and doesn't require oil. Although ... Rating:  - Not very sturdyWe have only used this twice and the second time was for a child's outside pool and after it was blown up there were screws that had come loose I guess due to the vibration and we have no way of getting them back into place. So, after using it twice it is falling apart. Rating: - Just what I needed. Very pleased so farThis is the fourth home air compressor I have owned. One of them was a 12 volt type (never again). My last on had a 50 ft. coiled air hose that was stronger then me. With the Bon-Aire, all I need is a friendly 50 ft extension cord to reach all my tires. It seems to have a good valve clamp and it inflates very quickly. As long as it proves to be reliable, I couldn't be more pleased. |
