 Rating:  - A masterpiece that gets better with ageBASIC INSTINCT is a masterpiece of human behavior and frailty that could never be made now in these days of extreme political correctness. It pulls no punches in portraying the characters in harsh reality, without remorse or apologies for their flaws. After viewing the movie through once, I went back to the "Extras" and turned on the commentary by the psychologist. Another Michael Douglas film whereby the puzzle's the thing, and your quest to have them reveal the answer creates more confusion for your brain cells. Not to say this isn't entertaining.
