Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Rogue Trooper brings the cult science-fiction hero to your PS2 for 3rd-person action and next-generation stealth. On the hostile planet of Nu Earth, a brutal and futile war is being fought. Among the soldiers sent there to die, there are many legends. One in particular involves a lone blue-skinned warrior: The ultimate killer, the last survivor of the massacred Genetic Infantrymen. Bred for war, he takes revenge on both sides -- appearing out of nowhere to take out whole platoons, then fading back into the shadows. He is the Rogue Trooper, and he may be the only one who can end the war for good. Intense split-screen and online multiplayer action

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - great graphics
the graphics are great, but the 2 player game mode is limited it is a fun game for awhile, but I lost interest in the gameplay after a few hours

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great 3rd person sci-fi shooter
Being a big fan of sci-fi 3rd person shooters, I'm always on the lookout for a really good one. Rogue Trooper hit all the right buttons. For me, those buttons are: Great graphics, easy-to-master controls, and fun, varied gameplay.

As your comrades die you carve out their personality chips and attach them to your helmet, backpack, and assault rifle, an interesting and unique idea. They come along for the ride and allow various capabilities: Helmet is your computer/door hacker, Gunnar ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A GREAT sci-fi game
You control Rogue, a genetic infantry man created to battle the Norts on the polluted planet known as Nu-Earth. After his team is obliterated and placed into his helmet, gun, and backpack, Rogue is forced into an action packed adventure to seek revenge upon those who killed his buddies.

Rogue Trooper is your basic third person shooter complete with the standard behind-the-back camera angle. In this game you get two guns - a fully customizable but very weak assault rifle (by this I mean you ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Rogue Trooper
The game was fast paced and had very interesting plot. Overall a must add to your PS2 collection! Faults: Can't reload when you want, often leaving you to reload during battle (not cool). Three areas had glitches which made Trooper move on his own for several "feet" but could be worked through.

I'm waiting for part 2!!!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - sci-fi shooter, easy controls, fun, integrated weapons
Back in high school, I read ROGUE TROOPER comics, reprinted in the U.S. along with JUDGE DREDD. It's a surprise to see RT get a game after all of these years, and I was interested to see how the perpetual war comic would translate into 3D.

So far, I really like it. It's a 3rd person shooter with easy controls. Like in the comics, your gear is modified with "brain chips" taken from fallen comrades, which allow you to upgrade your weapons, use decoys, and manufacture items on the fly. It's all ... Read More
