 Rating:  - Poor quality knifeI purchased the Fiskars Big Grip Garden Knife through Amazon. It broke the first time I used it. The blade is welded to the handle and the weld broke. The tool was useless after 30 seconds of work. Apparently, it is not a very well made tool. I normally like Fiskars products but this one need a little more design work. I like this type of tool for weeding and garden use and there are several on the market which are better made. Rating:  - Japanese Garden Knife "hori hori"As a landscaper, I have used this type knife for years. Some laugh because I don't even own a trowel. What I can tell you is that initially I hesitated buying these because they weren't the old fashioned wooden handled variety I have used in the past. Ultimately, I bought two for my crew and they have been thrilled. You would have thought I gave them gold by the way they talk about them. As for the grip handle, it is a perfect design and much easier on the hands. Rating: - The garden tool I've been looking for!I recently purchased the Fiskars Big Grip Garden Knife. I looked everywhere for something like this in my local Big Box and hardware stores and couldn't find it. This is the perfect tool for working in the garden! It's the first one I grab from my gardenening bag. Works like a charm. Cuts through nasty hard-to-pull weed roots with ease! Every gardener should own one! Rating: - Great little garden toolThis handy little knife/trowel is perfect for not-so-perfect gardening. It slides through rocky soil and roots. Hadn't planned on buying it, but sure glad I did. Rating: - warningunfortunately I could only read this warning when the knife arrived at my house: California Proposition 65 warning: This product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer,birth defects and/or reproductive harm. Who would want to work in their garden with a tool that can cause cancer ? Too bad, I was really excited to try it. |
