![]() Rating: - Superior Sound Quality; Missing Crucial Functionality; Easy To Use; Some BugsMy goal: to convert vinyl records into CDs. For hardware, I bought the ART Phono Plus 2 USB phono preamp (see my review of it under that product listing) and used my old turntable. The Phono Plus comes with Audacity software, a freeware package. Since I am in the Windows PC world, the choice was either that, or Spin-It-Again. Spin-It-Again is rather expensive. I bought it through Amazon, which means I got a CD-ROM. It cost me $44 including shipping. I'm ... Read More Rating: - For a newbie -This is greatI'm a newbie to the computer world. I wanted a program to help me transfer all my vinyl LP's to CD's. I did some searching and researching for programs that were easy to use (a priority for me). I read the reviews of this product and chose this one. And no regrets. When I installed the program in my computer and hooked up my record player (turntable), used the sound level wizard. I found that the volume was too loud. So I grabbed my husband's stereo and "jacked in the ... Read More Rating: - Great [rogramI have found this a very user friendly and easy to use program. I had a little problem with the installation but that was due to my lack of knowledge of my equipment. My e-mail request was promptly answered and I was on my way. I have been very pleased with the performance of this software. Rating: - Works greatI bought this software via Amazon's suggestion when I was buying the ART USB Phono Plus Interface Version 2. It walks you through the steps you need to take, and allows you to enter track info while the record is being ripped. It seems to use the track time you enter to help it find the track gaps for albums ... Read More Rating: - NOT BADThe software is pretty good. The resultant CD is not close to the quality of a real CD original. It is easy to use and will provide car qulity CDs. |
