Editorial Review:

Product Description:
The Klingon Bird of Prey is an 8â plastic/die cast replica complete with a Klingon emblem display base. This version, the D12-Class Scout, is the version that appeared in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Apropos of the title, the vessel has a surprisingly graceful look to it---the long neck and swooping wings, an overall bird or even pterodactyl disposition limbed by a lambent green hull. The ship is armed with disruptor cannons and photon torpedoes, but probably the vesselâs most memorable feature is the cloaking device. In Stark Trek III, the bird of prey is initially commanded by the uber-malignant Klingon Kruge. The Klingons are attempting to salvage the sciences of Project Genesis from the turbulent Genesis Planet. Prior to this, at the climax of The Wrath of Khan, Captain Kirk had conveyed Spockâs jettisoned remains to the planet during its nascent stage. Hoping to retrieve the reborn Spock, a small boarding party from the Enterprise is confronted by the Klingon salvagers, a process in which Kirkâs son is murdered. This fact fuels Kirkâs preexisting loathing for the Klingon race. Mirror to the dogfight between the Enterprise and the bird of prey is the cataclysmic super-Shatner brawl between an enraged Kirk and Kruge as Planet Genesis suffers its growing pains.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - classic and fun to play with
this is a very nice representation of a Klingon Bird of Prey... It was put together very well, and the detail of the ship is very nice. The only thing I found disappointing was the lack of the moving wings.

A nice piece for the avid Star Trek collector.
