The dinette set is made of solid wood - plantation grown expressely for use in furniture. There are no presswoods or veneers. The assembly does take time, but the instructions/hardware are included. The set ships out in 3 boxes within two business days from our warehouse. You will receive a separate email from Fedex where you can track the shipment and know when it is scheduled to arrive.
