Editorial Review: Product Description: Konami's hit PlayStation dance game is now a DVD game! It's all the same great dance party fun. This non-competitive DVD game makes exercise fun with 30 different dance sessions, original dance music tracks and three levels of challenge: Audition, All Star and Dance Off. Hosted by Roxee from the hit Australian entertainment group, The Funkees, this is the most interactive and entertaining game of the year. Game comes complete with two dance mats. For 1 or 2 players. I wish I would have known because I would have never ordered it. The mats are fake and the game is not very challenging compared to the real DDR. I'm sure that young kids would enjoy it but for those over 12 it seems to stink in comparison to the real thing. What a bummer. My impression of this game when it first came out was that it was going to be exactly ... All though they were kind of bummed that it diddn't know what you were doing, they spent hours and hours of fun. Exerzize is now fun. My Children are getting exerzise (Witch rarely happens) and having fun with it. A great family game. Rating: - No Steps Are Scored! BE WARNED!!!This version does NOT score or even aknowledge your steps. I have been an avid DDR player for years, and have even reccommended DDR for healthy weightloss and excersize programs to a LOT of my friends, who have had great success. My nephew begs and bugs about playing DDR at my house every time he's in town. I thought I would gift him with a way he could play it at home for his last birthday, and since he doesn't have a playstation, and XBox versions of the games are becoming more rare, I ... I had intended for this to be an interesting change from my regular workout, but the DVD is too rigid to be used that way, with too long intervals between the menus, and the irritating instructor having way too much screen time. The routines and the music are more than passable, and hold enough of your attention to be a fun game for adults and children for ... Read More Rating: - Great for kidsWe have the xbox version of DDR and it is fun for teens and adults, but way too challenging for my six year old. My 8 year old can only do two songs on it. They often end up frustrated and/or in tears because they get boo'd. This is a fabulous alternative for young ones because they never get boo'd, they have such positive feedback and it simulates the real thing; so as they get better, they can move onto the xbox version with much more confidence. I think it's great. The ... Read More |
