The kids were nagging me to send it in for repair but I dreaded the process and the expense. Then I stumbled upon this little gadget and it's the best $15 I've spent all year. This time I invested a few bucks into this cooler, and have not had any further problems with the console overheating. Yes, the fan is a bit loud, but if you do not leave the WiiConnect 24 feature on standby it's not an issue. During game play I can hardly hear the fan.
