 Rating:  - Great at what it does!I had been holding off purchasing the Apple TV, wanted it do do more, but ended up diving in. Thinking it would be at least a year before a major update and I really didn't want to wait that long to experience the product. Hooked it up to my TV using a HDMI connection, looks great and sounds great. For purchases or ripped DVD's it is the way to go. And now there are 3rd party apps that can be loaded that give the unit streaming ability outside of iTunes. Only 1 minor ... Rating: - This could replace Cable TV for me!I rent most of my movies from Time Warner Cable. They c often will not download smoothly, and in some cases will not load at all. Apple TV downloads before playing, the results are spectacular, and the rentals are $2 less than Time Warner, and are available in high def. I have left my computer and can now enjoy my living room. i am not going to bore you with specs and details. HD shows although not blu ray look pretty darn good at 720p. Purchase songs from itunes, surf youtube, watch your pictures as slideshows watch movies rent movies (most with Dolby 5.1).
