![]() Rating: - Flawed, but still fast as HELLEveryone knows burnout games are fast, everyone also knows that this is not Burnout 5. If you aren't expecting the next big thing in racing, but are prepared to have an amazingly fun time, get this game. First off, for a PS2 title, this game looks absolutely terrific, the environments are rich, and the cars look really real. This game continues the Burnout legacy of giving everyone a heck of a rush whenever they activate boost, and chaining burnouts is still as fun as ever. A couple gripes ... The first Burnout was a run chase-style racing game, the second a crash puzzle game that even had a mode where you could chase down speeds as law enforcement or run from it, the third a game about taking out the competition any which way you can. The fourth... let's not talk about the fourth... and now at last the fifth game in the series proper, a Playstation 2 exclusive about getting back to the roots and getting rid of the uh...gunk that muddied up Burnout: Revenge.
