When their epic strugglecomes to Earth, all that stands between the Decepticons(R) and ultimate power is a clue held by young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf). Unaware that he ismankind's last chance for survival, Sam and Bumblebee, his robot disguised as a car, are in a heart-pounding race against an enemy unlike anything anyone has seen before. It's the incredible, breath-taking film spectacular that USA Today says "will appeal to the kid in all of us.". Amazon.com: "I bought a car. Turned out to be an alien robot. Who knew?" deadpans Sam Witwicky, hero and human heart of Michael Bay's rollicking robot-smackdown fest, Transformers. Witwicky (the sweetly nerdy Shia LaBeouf, channeling a young John Cusack) is the perfect counterpoint to the nearly nonstop exhilarating action. The plot is simple: an alien civil war (the Autobots vs. the evil Decepticons) has spilled onto Earth, and young Sam is caught in the fray by his newly purchased souped-up Camaro. Which has a mind--and identity, as a noble-warrior robot named Bumblebee--of its own. The effects, especially the mind-blowing transformations of the robots into their earthly forms and back again, are stellar. Fans of the earlier film and TV series will be thrilled at this cutting-edge incarnation, but this version should please all fans of high-adrenaline action. Director Bay gleefully salts the movie with homages to pop-culture touchstones like Raiders of the Lost Ark, King Kong, and the early technothriller WarGames. The actors, though clearly all supporting those kickass robots, are uniformly on-target, including the dashing Josh Duhamel as a U.S. Army sergeant fighting an enemy he never anticipated; Jon Voight, as a tough yet sympathetic Secretary of Defense in over his head; and John Turturro, whose special agent manages to be confidently unctuous, even stripped to his undies. But the film belongs to Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, and the dastardly Megatron--and the wicked stunts they collide in all over the globe. Long live Transformers! --A.T. Hurley More Than Meets the Eye

![]() Rating: - DECENT ENOUGHHaving grown up watching the original Transformers cartoons, it's hard to admit certain things about this film.True there are a few well made action scenes and the CGI work is some of the most intricate on celluloid yet. However, the films achilles heel is both the script and CGI.There has obviously been too much time and energy invested on the films teenage chracters. This is not American Pie or an episode of High School Stories...this is Transformers. Also, the CGI work is so advanced that yes, though ... Read More Rating: - Piss poor qualityI don't know if it was intended (which some reviews on other sites speculate) or what but this movie looks like crap on Blu-Ray. It is so grainy that I cannot pay attention to the movie. The weirdest thing is that not all the scenes are like this. It's mostly noticeable through dark colors but there have been times when black is being rendered and it is crystal clear. It's not my PS3 because every other movie I own is fine. This just isn't what I expected from ... Read More Rating: - Great HD experienceShame it didn't came on Blu when the HDDVD came out. But rather have this awesome 2 disk edition than nothing. This movie is full HD, 1080p resolution and True HD Doubli Digital 5.1 sound. Rating: - FANTASTIC MovieThis movie was simply close to perfect, the storyline, and characters were very well created, and they all have played a significant role in the movie. THIS IS NOT THE 80'S CARTOON, SO DO NOT EXPECT IT TO BE AN EXACT REPLICA FOR IT. now there are alot of bashers, who dont know a shred about transformers, and will bash it juss to show how ignorant they are i say watch it for yourself and then make your OWN judgement about it if you get confused with anything about it, u could read about ...
