With a capacity of 3-liters (102-oz) you can make tea for the whole table. Try all kinds of delicious drinks like orange juice with mint leaves, sangriawith fruit slices or ice water with cucumber or lime slices.Making ice tea in a natural way is easy, giving you the freedom of chosing your favorite ingredients. Simplyadd your preferred tea leaves into the removable filter, pour 1-2 cups of boiling water over the leaves andadd your preferred amount of sugar. After the sugar has dissolved, fill the jug with cold water from the tap.Close the lid, and leave the tea jug in the fridge until it reaches the desired temperature. The strainer in the spout ensures that ice cubes, leaves and kernels stay in thejug and not in the glass. All parts are dishwasher safe and can be put in the fridge. Amazon.com Review: Tea lovers can enjoy their favorite beverage year-round and in ample quantities with this Bodum Ceylon jumbo iced-tea maker. Designed to brew and pour with the same container, the Ceylon features a removable filter so you can steep tea to your exact preference. This means iced tea is ready quickly and tastes great, and it works with loose leaf or bagged teas. Thanks to its clever design, the Ceylon also doubles as an infusing pitcher, allowing you to add citrus or herbal flavors to water, juice, or punch. With a generous 102-ounce capacity, the pitcher keeps you in iced tea all afternoon and should be washed by hand for best results. A trimmer 51-ounce version is also available. --Emily Bedard Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Bodum Ceylon Ice Tea MakerI read many reviews before purchasing this item. My thoughts: 1. Absolutely the easiest way to make great iced tea. I put 10 tea bags into the infuser, then fill the pitcher half way with boiling water. Stir a little, then add sugar. I let it steep 15 minutes, longer if you want it stronger. Then pour the contents into a container and right into the fridge. 2. People complain the infuser gets dirty. Solution: use tea bags instead of loose leaf tea. I bet soaking the infuser in some bar ... Read More Rating: - not up to Bodum standardsI really wanted to like it but I can't recommend this product. The construction is flimsy, particularly the lid and its attachment to the pitcher. I can see this breaking. The infuser insert slips out of its track easily, which is a minor annoyance but it just makes the thing feel cheap. The deal-breaker for me is that the infuser lets tons of tea leaves escape. I tried to brew green tea and there were so many tea leaves that escaped through the infuser that I had to pour it all out through a ... Read More Rating: - Better than expectedI wasn't sure I'd like this when I ordered it, but it works great. Smart, flexible design. Although tall, the slim shape works well in a crowded refrigerator. I'd like something bigger but I'd buy another one of these. Rating: - So far, so goodWhen the large glass mayonaisse jar I used for tea broke, I didn't think I would be able to get a suitable replacement. I bought this based on the online reviews. I was leary of a plastic vs. a glass container. So far it has worked very well. It is easy to use(brewing the tea right in the container). And the tea tastes great. It is much easier to pour out of than the old jar too! Rating: - Iced-Tea Maker and InfuserI like the size of the maker but the infuser needs improvement. The holes are too big and the tea leaves come out. The infuser warped right away after it came in contact with hot water. I don't use their infuser anymore. It works great with a large mesh ball infuser on a chain. The lid is very flimsy and I don't expect it to last very long. |
