Both owe a lot of money have no way to pay it back & the clock is ticking. When they each get a chance to join a different gang of thieves for a heist that will pay off their debts what choice do they have? the good thing is that it will be easy - an inside job. Studio: Hbo Home Video Release Date: 05/06/2008 Starring: Henry Thomas David Boreanz Amazon.com: In The Hard Easy, two men with money problems find themselves racing the clock--and each other--to get to a stash of cash that may help dig them out of financial trouble. Paul Weston (Henry Thomas, Gangs of New York, E.T.) is a gambler. Roger Hargitay (David Boreanaz, Bones, Angel) is a stockbroker who has squandered his funds. Through coincidence, they are both recruited by different thugs to rob the same place on the same day. Pop singer Nick Lachey, who makes his feature film debut as Roger's buddy and fellow accomplice, does a nice job in a small role. The actors make for nice eye candy, but it's the grizzled veterans who make the biggest impact. Bruce Dern (The Great Gatsby) and Paul Weller (Robocop) eat up the scenery in their turns as the charismatic puppet masters behind the heist. Though the plot is as transparent as some of the clothes Vera Farmiga (who plays a stunning doctor) wears, the film is on par with Mark Wahlberg's more glamorous The Italian Job: an exciting caper that doesn't make much sense. --Jae-Ha Kim Average Rating:

First time helmer Ryan especially gets great performances out of the character actors (Weller and Dern) who haven't had a chance to strut their stuff onscreen like this in years. I do wish Ryan's talents in striking a nice balance between action, noir, and drama had been matched by a smarter screenplay (you want the plot to twist more and not just thicken). However, all in all it's a great showcase for some fine acting (not ... Read More Rating: - No masterpiece but it sat well with meI loved this! I fall in love with movies for different reasons. In this case, I dug the way David Boreanaz handled himself; the tension packed angst and disgust. The lead character was just funny to me and I got a kick out of Peter Weller, but then I always have. He was a p***k in this flick. I found the plot to be overall enjoyable. Love Bruce Dern too, so I just couldn't lose with this one. Rating: - Hard Easy - DVDThe movie was good, if you a David Boreanz fan you will like it. I would recommend the movie. Rating: - DAVID BOREANAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DAVID BOREANAZ, NEED I SAY ANYTHING MORE? ANYWAY THIS IS ONE OF HIS BETTER MOVIES AS WELL AS ONE OF HIS BETTER CHOICES OF MOVIES TO MAKE. Rating: - The Hard EasyI enjoyed the film. The story was interesting. The acting was good, though I felt some roles were miscast. |
