 Rating:  - For 249.99, You Won't Go WrongI had $300 in gift certificates from Best Buy and my Mission ASI 700 sub had died. My home theatre is relatively small so I don't need a 300+ watt monster. I auditioned the Klipsch and it was just too boomy for my tastes, I love tight well defined bass and boomy only when it is suppose to be. I was impressed with the Definitive PSB1000 it was tight and punchy, but I did not want to spend $499.00+. The Polk PSW110 was 249.99 and it gave tight bass, but definitely seemed a little thin at the store. ... Read More Rating: - Good SubThis sub works great in my home theater. It has plenty of power, is built well and is able to produce great lows with no distortion. I preferred this sub over the PSW10 as it has more power and the LFE input. Works great in Movie and Music applications. Rating: - Good clean sub - but underpoweredI got this for free in an Amazon/Polk offer - buy over $500 of Polk / get the sub free. The subwoofer is incredibly clean - but can't quite keep up with the rest of my system (Onkyo HT-SR875 and Polk Monitor series in a 5.1 config). This sub would probably be great in a very small home theater in a small room. Free was a great price - but when I get a chance, this will be moved to the rear of my system and I'll add a 12"/230W Sub as my primary to help shake the house. Extra points for ... Read More Rating:  - Musically okay, but it buzzesThe sound this speaker intentionally provides is quite good; but as soon as the power cord is connected to an AC source, there's an audible buzz, which can be heard anywhere in the room and is present as long as the power is connected. It was unacceptable and I returned it. |
