![]() Rating: - Good Value, Solid PerformerUnit arrived at my home 10 days after order was placed. Receiver is new, was installed immediately and works great. I have not tried some of the functions. My speakers sound better. Rating: - Yamaha Receiver Great ProductYamaha RX-V361BL 500 Watt 5.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver I find receiver to work just fine in switching audio to DD from Pro-Logic or anyother switching needed. Menu and settings are quickly learned and much simpler than my past 2- Kenwood Receivers. Sound is percise with quite an adjustment range. Quite a piece of equipment for the price. I will buy Yamaha next time I upgrade. Rating: - Fantastic Receiver for the price range.Having Just bought this to replace a Sony DAV home theater system, together with Yamaha NS P440 Speaker set provides fantastic sound for everything i could want. Rating: - A major downgradeI had been using a similarly priced Yamaha HTR series unit, and compared to that this is a piece of junk. The sound is extremely muddy and distorted at any level using analog or digital inputs. The remote has even less discrete buttons than the HTR unit making it a pain to operate (though the SCENE buttons do partially make up for this). I think I'll try a digital receiver at this price point instead. If that doesn't work out, I'll definitely pick up a Denon or another HTR. |
