The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet)--suitable for swimming but not for diving--and the GPS sensor is splash resistant. All Timex heart rate monitor sensors have batteries that can be replaced by consumers without requiring them to be returned to the manufacturer. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Awesome Watch!I have used Timex Ironman watches for the last 20+ years for tracking running splits while training for local 10k races, so I am used to the format. The format for the Trail Runner watch is total different due to its additional features of the GPS and Heart Rate monitor. Even with these new features, it is still easy to use. It has the ability to show you 3 different lines of realtime date that you can select from while in the Chonograph mode. You can watch heart rate, speed, distance, ... Rating: - Water leak an anomaly?I have been a fan of Timex watches since 1994. The Ironman series have all the basics I need: waterproof, dual time zone, multiple alarms, chronographer, and timer. I bought the Bodylink system to improve my marathon time. I like the concept of training to heart rate intensity, rather than running duration or distance. The HR % apparently reflects the quality of workout for the heart. No complaints about the HR monitor or GPS monitor so far. I have not tested the system in an area with ... I've tried several heart monitor watches before and took all but one of them back, either because the manual was gibberish or because they didn't pick up my heart rate. I had a pretty good Polar but the band was really too small and eventually broke from being stretched. Picked up heart beat and GPS signal quickly. Heart immediately, GPS after a few minutes. Comfortably long band, which none of the other watches I've tried had. Manual is handy size ... It was easy to use right out of the box, and the more that I explore it's capabilities, the more I learn and enjoy using this system. Having the GPS to let me know how far I'm into my run is awesome, as I find it quite motivating to see the progress. I've heard instances of people having trouble with the GPS around tall objects, but I have not had any instances of trouble with the GPS retaining a signal. I ... Read More |
