Sure, one could find something more solid, but it would be at least a couple of hundreds, not less. No regrets here! Rating: - Beautiful, sturdy lampsThese lamps are great! I love them. The only things you may not notice from the picture is that there's a seam on 2 of the 4 vertical edges of the lampshades where the fabric pieces are stitched together (very well done but you still see it when the lamp is on) and there's a skinny cylinder going down the center of the lamp in the middle of the 4 vertical wood structures, it's not a completely empty square in the middle as you might assume. When they arrived, the shades were slightly damaged; at the first mention of this, a representative called me to apologize and to rectify things at my earliest convenience.
