![]() Rating: - You get what you pay forI figured when I purchased this that it wouldn't be able to give me the same result as the what the Doc's office had- I couldn't hear the baby's heartbeat, but I could definitely hear the little kicks and bumps. I got this more for my husband than me- he could hear the baby moving around even if he couldn't feel the kicks all the time. It's not great, but it's not bad either. Rating: - NOT Reliable as Fetal Heart MonitorWe eagerly purchased this product as it was far less expensive than the other fetal heart monitors on the market. However, we should have saved our money, and invested in a slightly more expensive (and working!) monitor the first time around. As many other reviewers have said, this monitor does not work to reliably pick up the fetal heartbeat. It easily picks up the MOTHER'S heartbeat - as well as many other in-utero sounds (kicks, tumbles, hiccups) - but not the fetal heartbeat. We ... Read More Rating: - loved it!I had this monitor with my first baby four years ago and have been shopping for a second one since someone borrowed the first one and never returned it. I loved being able to hear the heartbeat and hiccups. You should be able to use this by the third trimester if not before. I also used it to play music to the baby. I don't know if it made a difference, but my son still loves music and is smart as can be. :) |
