Couple this with all-new signature go-to moves that capture the essence of the NBA's best, and you can now play the game on a console like you see it from the stands. All-new shooting mechanics - from deep three-point shots well beyond the arc to 10-foot jump shots in the paint, every shot attempt has been redesigned to provide more fluid, realistic results. Dunks and lay-ups are now assigned to the same button command making highlight reel plays even easier to perform. Running at a smooth 60 frames per second, NBA LIVE 08 is as close as you can get to the court, without dropping a dime for courtside seats. Player faces, team uniforms, and authentic arenas jump to life behind the power of next-generation game graphics. Whether you're working on your game in the revamped practice gym, or playing in front of a packed house, feel what it's like to be an NBA superstar. ESRB Rated E for Everyone Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - terrible b-ball simulationthe control itself sucks - passing is akward, shots look weird, players don't move like they do in real life when setting up a play...graphics are disappointing as well...i liked nba live 05 better than this game...it seems to be choppy and doesn't flow like a bball game should Rating: - It was OKThe game play felt forced for lack of a better word the movements didn't feel smooth and in certain situations they were even a bit jerky, instead of the usual slow forced action. but once you get used to it (and change the default gameplay settings) it is a very nice game. Rating: - NBA Live 08 is okI've played this game for a few weeks now so obviously I'm still deciphering some of the nuances of the game. It's not bad. I thought the graphics would have been much improved. I had the ESPN game a while back and I would say that the graphics on NBA Live 08 are just slightly better. Other than that the game seems to flow pretty well. It's not too difficult to pick up on. I didn't read any directions or anything. just turned it on and started playing. It's pretty intuitive. Rating: - The game is limitedly good and not so goodThe term chocolate has been thrown around these days. People think it what fat people eat to fell happy. As for others, they think its good for the soul like "Chicken Soup". I think it is Good and BAD! Here's why. Good- It tastes good. The world knows, heck, everyone knows it is good tasting. It comes in different varieties like Hersheys, Nestle, 3 M's, Twix, and a hell lot more! It is insane... in a good way. BAD- Here is where I talk about the game. Ahem............... ... Load times on the 360 are just so atrocious and the gameplay was mediocre. I remembered from Live 03 that there are retroes and other goodies in the PS2 version, and they are not in the 360 version. I'm glad that the retroes are all here, and that's all that matters to me. So if you want a game with retroes, third jerseys, and easy control with minimal load times, stick to ... Read More |
