This unscripted weight-loss drama was based on overweight contestants competing to lose weight and win a quarter of a million dollars with the help of a team of doctors, dietitians, and trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels. On the evening that the first season’s finale aired, legions of fans went to the NBC Web site to look for the diet and fitness plan that the contestants used. It wasn’t available to the public—until now. With this book, people looking for change can accomplish the same type of radical makeover of their bodies, their health, and their lives that they saw on The Biggest Loser. The book features the food and fitness plans from Bob and Jillian, health advice from the show’s medical experts, and motivational tips from the contestants themselves. The contestants’ compelling stories and reasons for losing weight, dramatic before-and-after photos, and real-life advice provide the inspiration and upbeat attitude that made this show a smash hit. ![]() Rating: - MOTIVATION AND INSPIRATIONWe all basically know what we should do to lose weight and obtain good health - eat right, exercise and have good genetics. I liked this book for the mantras for motivation and the good advice and inspiration from Bob and Julian. It got me back on track and I have lost 21 lbs in 30 days, by doing the exercises and eating properly. I'm even back to drinking 8-10 glasses of water, just like my track days in high school. I liked the illustrations and photos, the 'before' and 'after' shots, and the ... Read More Rating: - A great progamIf you have been watching The Biggest Loser and you want to know how they lose so much weight, this is a good place to start. However, I feel that this book could have easily been combined with the Fitness Program book. Rating: - GreatI bought this book as well as Jillians book and I thought this one was good but I had already read Jillians and I thought hers was Awesome. If your only going to read one this will do. Rating: - Losing weight the responsible way.The book speaks for itself; it is chock-a-block with sensible advice about sensible eating habits. Rating: - I bought it for the foodI ordered this book to look at the diet recommended. The recipes were easy and tasty. I could recommend blending these foods into your diet to control calories and help cut fat. They were tasty and filling and there is appropriate information about portion size. Often diet recipies are awful. I also bought the cookbook is the series that has a broader range of food choices. Well worth the money. |
