Editorial Review: Product Description: Imagine the Statue of Liberty bearing the flag of the Third Reich. It's horrible! In a fantastic redefinition of history, Turning Point: The Fall of Liberty deals with an alternate ending scenario of World War II. The Nazi forces were victorious over the allies. Now the world is very different. The 20th century may have completely changed. Delivering both wartime authenticity and a fresh perspective through an intense, action-driven storyline, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty makes war personal and relevant. Presenting this scenario as a powerful and realistically crafted alternate history, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty delivers an explosive First Person Shooter experience in a world where famous real-world locations appear startlingly different under Nazi occupation. Now it's up to you to save the country, and the world, in this story-driven, provocative shooter that redefines WWII-era action. In Turning Point's alternate reality, the untimely death of Winston Churchill in 1931 leads to the fall of Great Britain and Europe as they surrender to Hitler in 1940. From this pan-European power base, the German war machine re-equips itself to launch an unstoppable takeover of the United States. As a civilian caught in the middle of these new battlegrounds, fight afresh against the world's most notorious war machine on the streets of Manhattan, Washington DC, and beyond. Use guerrilla tactics and the surroundings to overcome superior post-war Axis weaponry and fight the Occupation. As Dan Carson, it's up to you to turn the wave and squash those Nazi forces. Can you? ![]() Rating: - Made my eyes bleed...The graphics were so bad they made my eyes bleed. This game was confusing, linear, and buggy. Even released 5 years ago this would have been a horrible game. Too bad, because the concept is pretty neat and I wanted to see it succeed. It was just poorly executed. Rating: - Not worth a penny!!The game is too easy and too short!!! The way it ends..... arhhhh disgusting!!! Rating: - Not as bad as everyone saysFirst off, I would like to say to all the people who gave this game 1 or 2 stars just because it doesn't have the best graphics, or perfect voice sync, or *gasp* blood and gore, you bloody well should have known better due to the fact that this game is rated T and does not mention gore, and the X1300/GeForce 6600 graphics card means no DX10. Now then, about the game. It is your standard genre "go there and complete this objective" war game, which is what you would expect from a war game, ... Read More Rating: - wow this was badAwwww, I wanted to like this game soooooo bad! But the game is soooooo bad! I keep reading about how this game was made with a low budget...but does a low budget require the MOST annoying shake when climbing stairs or ladders? Or the inability for a great pc system to run it without lag or glitches out the wazoooooo? Or perhaps the shortest game I've ever played??? save your money, buy another game, ANY other game... Rating: - DissappointingThis game looked like it would be very good. It had an intention grabbing storyline - Nazis invade the USA. However although the storyline was good the graphics were very much out of date - more like the games in the nineties. The maximum resolution was 1024x780 and any decent video card could handle a lot more resolution. The game play was very linear - you could not deviate one bit from the path the maker intended. I would not recommend it if you want games that graphically are more realistic ... Read More |
