Excellent is my words for this printer. YES I WOULD RECOMMEND IT! Rating: - Very nice home printerCanon has built a reputation for quality printers to match that of their cameras. And with the MP-417, it seems deserved. I bought this to replace an HP PSC-2010 all-in-one and have been quite pleased with it. The MP-417 has a large selection of features. It was primarily designed for photo printing and works acceptably well for that. But my main use is as a general home printer/scanner and for this the MP 417 seems perfect. The pictures look great though it is cheaper to take them to the drug store. It worked great for two months and then it stopped feeding paper. I wish I had googled first this is a common problem. I haven't sent it back due to lack of funds but I will be contacting Canon this week and it will probably cost me a lot to send for replacement. Stay away this printer does not hold up.
