Editorial Review: Product Description: In days now long past, the War of the Lions rent the land of Ivalice in two. And it is here that two young men of note first stepped onto history's stage. The first is a man named Delita Heiral, the hero who would draw the curtain on the War of the Lions, this dark act of Ivalice's history. The other, whose role is now forgotten, is a man by the name of Ramza Beoulve. Peer through the eyes of these two young men, and uncover the secrets that lie hidden within history's darkened folds. Originally released in 1997, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions is a portable update on the classic turn-based strategy game that gave birth to the world of Ivalice. New features include all-new CG sequences, all-new jobs, new 16:9 widescreen presentation, new head-to-head multiplayer and new storyline elements that refine the genesis of the Ivalice Alliance. ![]() Rating: - This remake makes me sad.Imagine if everything you wanted to do took 4 times longer than it should take. That's what playing this game is like. All of the special animations slow down to a crawl, and you're left wondering why you paid $40 for a game that came out 8 years ago, but has LESS SPEED. Read More Rating: - Final Fantasy Tactics ReviewIf you have played Final Fantasy Tactics for the Playstation 1 then you have pretty much played this game. The plot is basically the same but there are some nice new animated cut scenes which are a pleasure to watch. Overall a good game I would have liked a few more extras from the playstation version. Rating: - Great Remake with One flawI played the PS1 version of this game years ago and it is what got me into the whole SRPG (Strategy Role Playing Game) genre. This game is more or less a straight port of the original game, with a multi player mode, remastered cut-scenes, a few extra characters and classes, and a new script. First the Good: The cut-scenes are awesome. In the original version of the game their is one cut-scene in the beginning (maybe one towards the end, I never finished the game). It is nice to see new ... Read More Rating: - Fun!I've never played the ps1 version, but I play this game more than any of my other psp titles. Rating: - Final addictionAbsolutely addictive. Plot a bit too thick for my liking. But, still I would recommend it to anyone with too much time on their hands and alot of stand-by. |
