![]() Rating: - Does what I need; maybe a little too automaticI was previously using Norton Antivirus 2005, which was a great product and I never had any problems. The equivalent cost of a 1-year subscription and Norton Antivirus 2008 (with mail-in rebate) made me update to the new product. It has worked fine, seems to protect my computer. The only downside is it's a little too automatic if you are the kind of person that wants to know what's going on under the hood. I did have to setup some port forwarding rules for MMOs, but other than that, I just get warnings ... I rave about this product to my friends and family and a few have encountered the same great experience. it's a small price to pay for the level of protection you receive. I have it installed on all my laptops. Rating: - did not work for meI could never get this product to install correctly on my computer. It was not for lack of trying. I went to the Norton site and downloaded fixes, etc. I finally gave up. Of course, Best Buy would not return my money unless I brought my computer in and proved to them that it would not install. Other Norton products have worked well for me. Rating: - This is a good antivirus program. As always Norton makes a good product. I did have problems downloading it to my computer but the second time it worked. The price was right and the seller got the product to me in a rapid manner. Rating: - Does what it ought toI read a couple of really weird reviews of Norton 2008. I only had to re-press one of the steps, and I may have missed it myself. It works. Nothing has gone wrong with Windows xp. What more can you say? J |
