 Rating:  - A great way for the whole family to learn a new languageMy oldest daughter is taking Spanish (latin American) in school and was having a tough time with the way the teacher presents the material. I initially bought Rosetta Stone for her but now the whole family is getting into it. The kids treat it like a game; who can get the best scores, and my wife and I can now actually understand what they say when they practice. I highly recommend this product for the whole family. Then I realized this was intentional and part of the program. They use a limited vocabulary (nouns) to walk you through reading, writing, and speaking different contexts and to learn how to conjugate the verbs. The adding vocabulary becomes quite easy. Rating:  - beware of 1GHZ speed requirementAlthough this requirement is not listed on the box, your computer needs to have at least 1 GHZ speed in order for the oral components to work properly. Otherwise, you will have major glitzes in these lessons and will finally, in frustration, skip them altogether. And, since I did not check this out until after the 30-day period with Amazon, I contacted Rosetta Stone directly to ask for a refund as they are the ones who left this critical requirement off the front of the box.
