![]() Rating: - 12" Digital Frame has one big issue. The Energy Efficient Light Sensor on the top is faulty on the model #SPX 12E (12" Digital Frame). If you get your finger near it and block the light..or if you move the frame and it senses a light change it will completely shut off the screen. Tech support says go into settings and turn off the sensor. Rating: - SD card reader doesn't work, movie files didn't transfer, but the pics that did load looked awesomeAfter MUCH research, I finally opted to purchase this frame (Consumer Reports got this one wrong). I actually got this frame for my husband for Father's Day. I was soooo excited as I knew he would love this frame to display a "digital brag book" of his family on his desk at work, but boy did I have my work cut out for me in getting the pics transferred. Unfortunately, one of the features that this camera markets is being able to load pictures directly from your computer via a USB cable. However, ... I concluded that either the frame works out of the box or it doesn't, and decided to give it a try. I also promised myself that if it didn't download the pictures as soon as I got it, I wouldn't waste all the time trying to get it to work, but rather just repackage it and send it back. Well, I lost - about 10 hours trying to get pictures in it, then deleting every third one that seemed to lock it up. But I gotta say, when it worked it was amazing! ... Read More Rating: - Easy to use, great pictureThis frame was very easy to set up, just put your memory card in the slot and it imports your pictures and video while applying compression and orientation automatically. The pictures look excellent, but the video playback is just adequate, thus 4 stars. Be careful putting the SD card in the slot, the opening is a little too big and before I knew it, the card was stuck between the frame and the display panel (I loosened a few screws and it came right out). I bought two of these and they both looked and ... Read More Rating: - Very nice frameThis is an excellent frame. The quality of the wood is really a step above others I have seen. There were some glitches with the software, but one of their engineers worked with me and even made improvements to the software based on our interactions. It would have been great for it to work flawlessly out of the box, but the exceptional customer service is notable. |
