Plastic Bags & the Planet
The average family brings home 1,000 bags every year. Most of those bags end up in land fills. That really adds up - 100 billion plastic bags are sent to landfill in the US each year.
In landfills, it can take up to 1000 years for a bag to decompose. Plastics don't biodegrade, they photo-degrade, breaking down into tiny toxic pieces that contaminate soil and water or harm wildlife.

Since I don't need or re-use plastic shopping bags, I figured this was something I can do for our environment. I purchased 12 of these sturdy shopping bags in sky blue and use them every time I go shopping. I keep one in my purse for small purchases and the rest in my trunk for grocery shopping. I take them out of the pouches they are in and carry them inside one bag. I use the little pouches for traveling. They are great for jewelry, etc.

These bags are excellent. They have surprising capacity, are durable, lightweight, and easy to carry around. The checkout lady at the supermarket asked me where I got them, as she was packing them, because of the capacity and strength.

Everyone who sees these wants one. Very well made, each one holds a ton of stuff and fold away to nothing when not in use. I have given away two of my six originals and will be ordering more.

These are the greatest! The handles are so comfortable and easy to handle and I really feel happy when I look at the bright colors. The bags can be packed really full and still remain easy to carry. I first bought one set of six and loved them so much that I sent for another set of six.
