 Rating: - Much needed relief.I broke the rubber part on our blender while making baby food for my son and was worried that I would have to purchase a new one. Instead my husband ordered this piece and attached it to the blender. The blender is working well and we have an extra rubber piece just in case. Thank goodness Amazon had this availabe. Rating: - KitchenAid Blender Coupler No problem removing the old coupler. I had an old cheap thin 9/32 open end wrench, it fit nicely under the coupler, used channel locks, turned old coupler clockwise and it came right off. Took me two minutes. Thanks Rating:  - Improvement, but Order 2 or 3This part is an improvement over the 10 or so year old mixer couplers, but it still fails after a few years (but it did last longer than the original). My point is, order 2 or 3 as shipping for me was the same on 1 as it was on 3. I agree, if you are careful, unplug the blender and you can jam the motor with a small screw driver and use a pair of adjustable pliers to take off the coupler. I was scared I'd break my Kitchen Aid so I didn't want to try and replace the part myself. However, the cost to fix it was almost as much as a new blender so I figured- if I was buying a new one anyway it wouldn't hurt to invest $6 to try and fix the old. It worked and it was EASY! They even send instructions. Seriously. If you are looking at this product, buy it. You won't regret it. In fact, buy two. |
