 Rating:  - Wonderful, easy transfers cassettes to CDAfter reading most of the reviews of this item I was unsure of purchasing it, but I had no stereo system to hook into with the $15.00 gizmo from Radio Shack, a clutter of cassettes, and some one-of-a-kinds that I desperately wanted to preserve on CD. I ordered it. Fearful of the instruction snafu others wrote about, I set it up. In nothing flat I was easily copying the cassettes to computer, then to CD. It is simplicity itself! Incredibly easy to use and a great deal of fun, I consider this one ... Read More Rating:  - Not so easy to useWe needed to call the help line a few times to use this item. The instructions that came with it were pretty useless. Once we were told how to set it up, it did what it was supposed to - i.e., allow you to download a cassette tape to my Itunes and then to my IPod touch. Rating:  - Cassette to DigitalFor those of us who grew up in the analog era, the digital one requires some modifications. This unit helps move us in that direction. Inconvenient to have to make the switch, but good tools help. Rating: - Ok, if you don't mind MONOI was able how to figure out how to record but two things that bothered me was that you have to precisely start and stop your cassette recordings at the beginning and end of the song for a clean recording. Also, it's very tedious to name every track you've recorded. Last but not least, they don't mention it turns your stereo recording into a MONO file which is fine if you don't mind your songs sounding like they were made in the 60's. If I had it to do over again, I would wait until they come up ... Read More Rating:  - Couldn't make it workThe first problem was the item was bigger than I expected. I live in a small space so it didn't work well for me. The bigger problem was it didn't work at all with my Mac computer. The enclosed brochure was no help, neither was on-line support. The technical support, offering an e-mail response within 48 hours, came several days after I had already returned the item. |
