If you let go of the camera in the water it will float with this strap attached! The fit is weird b/c it doesn't tighten around your wrist, but will tighten around your bicep, which is a much more comfortable position for swimming. You just have to slide it down to take pictures. As a matter of fact with any amount of turbulence in the water the "hi-viz" red strap barely breaks the surface. I suppose maybe this thing is good for the pool?
