Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good but not perfect
The Shure SE110s are excellent earbuds for the casual listener, however the more discerning listener and the amateur audiophile should probably go for more expensive Shures.

First, the build quality on these earbuds is fantastic. I have owned various in-ear earbuds prior to my purchase of these Shures and I have always had each one lose their electrical conductivity between the wire and the driver in the earbud. The Shures are designed to withstand this flaw as the wire leading into ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Slight improvement over standard earbuds
Pros: Good Bass and Farily Comfortable.
Cons: Not $100 Good.

This is a comparison to the standard earbuds that come with the iPod Touch, SE110's and the Bose in ear headphones. The Bose (which I just returned) had good BASS to them but they had really flat & muddy sounding highs & mids. The SE110's are fairly comfortable with varying ear pieces to create the proper fit. This is very important. You need to create the proper seal to get the best sound and sound isolation. The sound ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sound great, block out sound very well
Prior to purchasing these, I owned the Bose Triport In-ear before I accidentally broke off the connector; the sound on those is good but the wires feel flimsy, the cord is not long enough, and they allowed too much background noise in. I was hesitant to go with these because I'm not used to having something in my ear canal and thought they would hurt. However I can now say that I prefer these Shure SE110 earphones over the Bose and they don't hurt; I'm actually using the foam pieces that come with ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Over-rated.
I decided to try out a Shure earbud because of their name in the industry. What a disappointment! The mid-range is pretty good. But when the music hits higher or lower frequency ranges, the sound becomes quite distorted. There are much better noise isolation earbuds at the $50 price range. I'm going back to Sony, a brand I've continuously used and liked for years for headphones, especially earbuds.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - STEP DOWN -- NEWER IS NOT BETTER
I've been a LONG TIME Shure fanatic. Been living with the E2Cs for well over 6 years. I was very excited to hear about the new "improved" se110s. Until that is, I put them on. I know all about the techniques of in the ear headphones, and how to adjust them for the maximal sound. The FIRST pair of these I returned the next day. Why, cuz to me it sounded like one of the speakers (the right speaker) was defective. Music was clearly distorted. So, Amazon very kindly send me an exchange and when I tried them, ...
