We added this to our baby registry before it had any negative reviews, and two months later it stopped working. When I went to write a review I realized it's not just our system. We have had every problem already listed - sputtering, intermittent feed, loud crackling, bad reception, etc. etc. etc. To make matters worse Amazon wouldn't exchange it because "we" didn't buy it ( it was a gift off our registry). Rating: - Don't waste your moneyDon't waste your money on this product. The system worked very well for us for all of about 6 weeks. Then the video quit working - it would just flash on and off for a second or two. Now, the sound doesn't even work. The only reason I've kept it plugged in is because the light on the camera is so bright in my daughter's room, it's actually a good night light. A really expensive night light, but at least that part is still working. When that quits, this thing is bound for the trash. What a waste ... This is an INCREDIBLE upgrade from Summer. The daytime color is nice, and the night vision is exceptional. With the old monitor, my daughter blended into the shadows of the sheets at night, so I could never really see her. With this monitor, I have detailed vision of her in complete darkness.
