The Digiwalker talks to you as you drive and lets you keep your eyes on the road. The turn-by-turn navigation uses street names and landmarks as well as distance measures, eliminating any possible confusion as to where to go. For example, instead of saying "Turn right in 200 feet," the Mio c230 will say "Turn right on Broadway in 200 feet." The C230 requires no additional map data, and it's ready to use right out of the box! ![]() Rating: - It should be good, but I am not sure. I bought it for a giftIt should be good, but I am not sure. I bought it for a gift Rating: - Mio c230 GPSI received this GPS as a gift. Having never owned a GPS device before my wife didn't want to break-the-bank with an initial purchase into this market. On the whole, this is a pretty decent device. It can be difficult to navigate thru the menus while you're on the road and the battery life isn't all that great either, but it got me to where I needed to go and for the price ... it's a really good deal. So why did I give it a rating of only 2-stars ??? It's because of the lack of customer ... Read More Rating: - good but with problemsFor ~$130 bucks it is worth. It comes with TTS. You can even hack it, although I did not do it (yet). Things can be improved: Sometime it can't get signals for up to minutes; Route calculation is not correct sometime, even wrong occasionally; Interface/menu can be better interactive or with more options; Battery runs off quickly; Overall, it is a good cheap GPS. Rating: - A Lot in a Small PackageThis unit performs well in terms of accuracy - I dialed in corrdinates to a place out in the middle of nowhere and it got me within 10 feet. Despite its smallish size, the display is bright and easy to read; the "night mode" inverts the colors for easier viewing at night. There are also many different ways the unit can display maps, zooming in, out, different angles, even 3-D modes. The c230 Locks in after less than a minute. The touch screen is small but still useable even with my fat fingers. ... Read More Rating: - Wish I hadn't purchased this GPSI purchased this GPS through Radio Shack in December. Within two weeks it was freezing repeatedly. They replaced it without question and it worked fairly well for a few months (although with the bizarre routes you can read about in other reviews). Then, once again, it began having problems. This time it loses signal frequently and guesses where it is. The GPS races ahead, goes straight when I have turned, and has made itself worthless, instead of just annoying. If you can't do better, forget GPS. |
