They also don't cost $600 a peice. They are (for all practical purposes) pretty decent microphones for Karaoke use. These mics weren't even in the same ballpark, but they worked okay. I had to crank the gain all the way up to hear them when trying to mix with music. But, what do you expect for $40! However, put to the test, it survived a youth camp bonfire, church services, and many speaking events including some music jams. The distance is pretty good even at 100 feet. Only kink is once in a blue it can pick up interference if someone has a cell phone call in the room.
