The PowerSelect Technology is a new approach to electric power. You now have a choice between a powerful 60 volt battery or corded electric operation - you choose how much power you want. Mow your lawn with the convenience and freedom of battery power or, plug--it--in if your battery is not charged or you require additional suction for lawn debris. In corded mode, cutting thick grass or leaves is a simple as turning the PowerSelect dial. This mower also features an integrated charger - just plug it in, dial-in the charging mode and the battery will begin re-charging itself. The mower achieves the same blade speed found in gasoline powered walk--behind mowers. It runs on electricity costing only pennies per use. Go cordless with the 60 volt sealed lead acid battery for up to 60 minutes of run time and enjoy the ultimate freedom of maneuverability. The battery can be removed and additional batteries can be purchased to extend run time. The mower weighs only 60 lbs. and easy to maneuver with larger rear wheels. This far better for the following reasons: 1. Battery is much more powerful. I have a medium sized lawn, and it has never died before I finished. 2. The grass catcher actually works, an achievement for battery powered mowers. 3. The mower height adjustment works effortlessly and provides a wide range which is also unusual in this class. 4. The ... Read More Rating:  - Needs some refinementWhen I first operated the mower after charging it up it didnt work. I discovered that the battery wires were not connected to the batteries. After connecting the wires the mower was working intermittingly. I discovered that the contacts for the battery to the motor were not connecting. To make the connection I had to place some carbord under the battery housing to make the power connection complete. After all of this was completed the lawn mower worked flawlessly. Read More Rating: - Poor quality control.The machine arrived missing a second bolt and nut from the wheel height adjusting handle. I was unable to set the cutting height because the weight of the machine would just cause it to slide down to it's lowest level. I contacted the technical support people who shipped the missing parts to me. The parts arrived in about a week. It was a bit of a struggle to install that missing bolt but I got it in.
