 Rating:  - The Stephen Hawking of digital audio players..Like Stephen Hawking, this player is brilliant but trapped in an uncooperative body. The ONLY reason to buy this player is for the unreal battery life. If you're someone that needs to be untethered as much as possible, this is the player to have. Short of a player that uses disposable batteries, the iAudio7 is in a class of it's own. The manufacturer claims the battery life to be 50-60 hours (Cowon says both in it's literature). The controls are different and take a little while to get used to, but work great once you make the adjustment. I did upgrade the firmware before I started to use this player, and I did not see most of the issues brought up in other reviews. This was very easy to do, and it was even possible to do from Linux. There is not special software you just manage it with your windows media player and drag and drop music, videos or pictures on to it. The sound quality is excellent. The menu takes a little bit to get used to but once you spend 10 minutes with it you'll be an expert. Also Cowon's technical support and repair is great. Our dog ate the screen off one of our players (we have 2). Obviously it was not a warranty repair but they fixed it and shipped back the next ... They average about 2-3 weeks to return an email for customer service issues.
