Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Necessity for Beginners w/o access to Flight Instructors

I just got the latest version (G4) of this R/C plane flight simulator. I'm impressed! Wish I had gotten it before I lost my first Super Cub.
The G4 version is extremely realistic with apparently actual video footage of the landscapes and the planes. The controls are very similar to actually flying (and crashing).
With the many different planes and all the various options, you can simulate virtually any possible scenario. Although the HobbyZone Super Cub (my ill-fated plane) isn't ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Excellent Sim, you can't go wrong with this!
Simply put, you can't go wrong with this simulator package. There are other choices out there around this price range, but this is a complete package, it is better than the cheaper $30 software packages and competitive in quality to other sims in it's class. Aside from whatever physics nuances some people say about this compared to others, it will teach you to fly. I think it is over-priced, but I guess it is a nitch market; Maybe because it is worth the investment.. You could build a $500 heli and try ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - On my way to be a pilot
I've raced the nitro-powered race cars but now I live in the country and I don't have a very large parking space to run on. Never have flown planes much less helicoptors. I have room for a run way but to many trees. I'm upping for a helicoptor and this simulator has greatly helped me. I recommend it and it avoids expensive rebuilds of trial and error while learning to fly helicoptors. Well worth it!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The best rc simulator ever!
If you are into rc airplanes then this is a must have!
It's simply the best out there and it's sure worth the money!
I had G3 before this one, and this is alot better in my opinion.
Multiplayer feature is fun thru internet. I play daily and I never get bored!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A must buy for first time flyers
G4 is probably the best way to learn to fly without an instructor. After purchasing this product I quickly learned that flying was more difficult than I had imagined. After a few days of flying in G4 I was able to land and even pull off a couple stunts. There are training lessons and you can fly in actual photograph fields.

The plane physics make each plane act very similar to its actual RC plane. Lighter planes can be carried away by wind easier. The BLT Trainer (a light balsa stick plane) ... Read More
