Studio albums, live gigs, you can never be sure which Van Morrison is going to show. So, too, his live albums. 1994's "A Nght in San Francisco" is one of the truly great live albums, the band, the Man, the guests, the music firing on all cylinders. I particularly enjoy the funky blues and soul numbers but find this overall to be an excellent addition to to my collection. The band is tight, the audience appreciative and Van is firing on all cylinders. Old favourites like Into The Mystic and These Dreams Of You take on new rhythmic and vocal dimensions whilst I Believe To My Soul is a breathtaking R&B workout.
