Editorial Review:

Product Description:
What begins for Chode and crew as a routine mission to protect a pissed-off princess will soon become a filth- splattered saga of dismembered royalty indestructible clown assassins and desperately horny housewives. What vile act has Chode committed to bring down the ultimate wrath of Bobo? Can Gus Six T nuk Whip and Bob stop a time-traveling killing machine from ruining a booze-soaked birthday party? How much does a lap- dance cost at the Grope-A-Cabana on Omicron 9? The voices of Stephen Root Maurice LaMarche Jenny McCarthy John Melendez Gayle Garfinkle and Rick Jones star in this all-new feature length movie packed with plenty of sex violence and &^%!#* too extreme for broadcast TV!System Requirements:Running Time: 75 minutesFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: TELEVISION/SERIES & SEQUELS Rating: NR UPC: 013131516890 Manufacturer No: DV15168

Amazon.com:
They're rude, crude, and thoroughly unrespectable. And now, the crew of the Jupiter 42 is uncensored in Tripping the Rift: The Movie, the first feature-length adventure from the popular Canadian animated series. By "uncensored," the producers mean that the gloves are off in regard to language and sexual innuendo, though nudity remains off the table (a disappointment, one might assume, for admirers of Rift's voluptuous android, Six of Nine, who's voiced by Jenny McCarthy). And the added level of raunch does boost the level of laughs in this occasionally lightweight story, which has Captain Chode (Stephen Root) and his crew serving as bodyguards for a hideous princess while avoiding a clown-faced robot assassin. The series' penchant for knocking (or paying tribute to) pop-culture touchstones gets a workout here, with nods to Young Frankenstein (the black-and-white animation looks terrific), The Terminator, and even Desperate Housewives. The endless riffing and sophomoric humor wears thin after a while, but series fans should find it all to their liking. The DVD includes a brief featurette offering interviews with Root, McCarthy, and voice talent Maurice LaMarche and John Melendez, as well as previews for other Anchor Bay titles. --Paul Gaita

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Total Waste Of Time
Speaking as someone who actually likes Tripping The Rift....don't waste your time on this worthless piece of garbage. It's three separate episodes shoddily slapped together, and isn't even CLOSE to being as funny as the regular series is. It's sad how poorly done this was. Talk about slapping something together to try and cash in while something is hot, this is the absolute worst. Go back and watch Season 1 again....

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - SF SATIRE
Combine Star Wars, Star Trek and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (The books ) with soft porn and you have Tripping the Rift:The movie.

This animated feature should have been put on Sci Fi Channel, but the suggestiveness would been too strong for American TV.

To reveal the plot would spoil the fun for you who would buy and watch this satire. Lets just say our heroes need to protect a bratty foul mouth Princess..and let your imaginations run wild with their antics

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - average show
the graphics are top notch and the storyline is pretty interesting. The problem is that it isn't just that funny. Really, the only reason why people watch is for the giant ***** of the main girl character, the robot woman. That's it. If you like the show, you'll love this. If not, pass.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Hey ..for 10 bucks......sold
Tired of waiting to see when season 3 will be release, and this dvd
disguised as a movie will fills the void pretty good at a great cheap
price. Was it interesting....sure it was...and im glad i got it ..and
will get season 3 if they ever release it on dvd.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - I Think I Just Rusted Myself
In a measure of full discloser, I have never seen an episode of Tripping the Rift, or could even tell you what channel it is on, before checking out the aptly titled Tripping the Rift: The Movie. So this review is from that point of view and if you are a longtime fan of the show you may want to skip this review.

For those that haven't seen the show, it wants to believe it is South Park meets Star Trek in that the characters are fowl mouthed in a setting of space. But the planets that ... Read More
