Editorial Review:

Amazon.co.uk:
Since 2002's jaunty Waiting for My Rocket to Come, Jason Mraz has developed into a more mature, well-rounded pop artist. We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things is his most multi-dimensional work yet, covering everything from groove-based material to ballads. While tracks such as "Make It Mine" and "Butterfly" refer back to the catchy style of previous albums, there are many other styles and textures on display here. His duet with Colbie Caillat, "Lucky," for example, explores his folkish, acoustic side, as does the compelling "Details in the Fabric," both of which are excellent songs. Mraz gets a little more experimental on "Coyotes," which toys with a clubby electronica and strangely seems to work, and on "The Dynamo of Volition" for which he employs a hectic, rapping-style of vocal over a typically contagious rhythm. His ballads, such as "Love For A Child", "If It Kills Me" and "Beautiful Mess" (these last two saved for the end) show a more sensitive side and even when his lyrics are occasionally clumsy, Mraz manages to make his point in an emotive way. Easy-going and sunny, but with laudable elements of depth and innovation, this is Mraz at his best so far.--Danny McKenna

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - With a band behind him, his magic disappears
I had high hopes for this album after hearing "I'm yours" - which is a beautiful, simple song that is very reminiscent of his early work. After listening to the whole album, I found myself extremely disappointed.

It seems like ever since Mr. A to Z, Jason is making music for someone other than himself, and that he has gotten a tremendous amount of pressure to 'refine' his sound. This just means that he has lost the creative freedom that made his music free and flowing, full of entertaining ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wow, Wow, and Wow.
Again he delivers in his amazing way. I fell in love with it right away, to the point that it has not left the cd player in my car. I could listen to it all day long!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Lovin' Mraz!
I had no idea who this singer/artist was. I saw his album cover in Starbucks (and it's sorta eyecatching with the drawing and the title) and said, "Hm. Interesting." Promptly forgot about it. Then heard "I'm Yours" on the radio and said, "Hey, this is great! What a fun song! Who is this?" The announcer said "Jason Mraz". So I said okay, gotta buy it. I did. Now I can't stop listening to it. And do I love Colbie Calliat? YES! Does he happen to have a duet with her on this CD? YES! Do I like every ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Buy this record
How Jason Mraz doesn't get more radio play is a mystery to me. This is the best music anyone is putting out in this genre and for some reason we never hear it. I did see the video to "I'm Yours" on MTV, but he deserves more airplay. The music is layered and has complexity to it, but the sound is all summer and sunshine. It is perfect driving in the car heading someplace fun music. He takes chances musically and lyrically. I like the album top to bottom and I have listened to it non-stop since I bought it. ...
