The box was a bit beat up, but the inner carton was ok. All the parts were packed in bubble wrap and cardboard, and the drywall jack assembled and disassembled fairly easily by following the instructions. The product works as advertised and is a "life saver" when attaching drywall to the ceiling. The only criticism I would have is that the "brake" for the crank to lift the drywall hangs up and has to be constantly adjusted to allow the lift to work properly. Have 9' ceiling and not a lot of help. although I have to have help to lift up the sheet of rock to the lift, the rest is easy. It makes it possible to set rock up to ceiling and make sure that it fits, if not lower it and then make adjustments. My house is a hundred years old and not alway square and straight.
