Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
The 10th Pokémon movie introduces Dialga and Palkia, two Legendary Pokémon from the "Diamond" and "Pearl" versions of the game. Ash, Brock, Dawn, and Pikachu visit the town of Alamos, which is dominated by two lofty towers that represent space and time. Alamos has been plagued by nightmares and supernatural events that the arrogant Baron Alberto blames on Darkrai, a powerful and elusive Pokémon. Alice, a gentle musician whose grandmother discovered Darkrai, disagrees. Her professor friend Tonio proves the escalating problems are caused by a clash between Dialga and Palkia. Unless the humans find a way to end this battle, the space-time fabric will tear and Alamos will be thrown into another dimension. Ash and Pikachu save the day, with some help from Dawn and Alice. The Rise of Darkrai (2007) is most the elaborate Pokémon feature to date: the CG effects range from the graceful towers to fireworks and energy storms. The drawn characters and computer-generated special effects are better integrated than in the previous features. The results are sure to delight Pokémon fans. (Unrated, suitable for ages 6 and older: cartoon violence) --Charles Solomon

Product Description:
Ash may think he's seen everything when it comes to Pokémon, but is he ready to face the mysterious Darkrai in his latest awesome adventure? While touring Alamos Town -home of the Space-Time Tower -with the beautiful Alice, Ash and his friends discover that the town's special garden has been decimated! Baron Alberto, a dashing but arrogant fellow, immediately blames the destruction on Darkrai. As if it just overheard the accusation, Darkrai appears and confronts our heroes!
Who is Darkrai? Is it a friend... or a friend in disguise? And as a battle between Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia rages directly above Alamos Town-and threatens to tear a hole in the space-time continuum-will Ash and his friends survive this showdown and learn Darkrai's true nature?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Darkrai Delivers
My 7-year-old son is a HUGE fan of Pokemon and I have to say I have come to admire the phenomenon as well. In spite of the general premise that the Pokemon are used to "battle' each other, which I was initially uncomfortable with, the stories of the TV show and this movie in particular tend to leave the children watching with a positive message. Darkrai is fighting to save the town he calls home while Ash, Brock, Dawn, and others mistakenly assume he is one of the bad guys. In the end they realize ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Umm Voices??
Movie was awsome, trully beautiful visuals and music, however honestly PUSA who do you think your fooling with the horrible voice acting, trying to make them sound alike...Foreshame...thank you for the japanese version i purchased i no longer have to see a cheap immitation.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A Pretty Good Pokemon Movie
Great animation, the plot moves a good pace that keeps the action coming, and almost every character and creature that appears helps out and make themselves useful. Too bad it has a lousy dub's (as usual)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works Great
I bought this for my Grandson and he was very Happy with it. I was very happy with the speed in which it came and the condition was very good.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Company LIED that this would have Japanese audio.
I ordered this before the release for my kids. They are bilingual Japanese and were expecting it to be in Japanese as the company promised. Now that the video has been released the ad has been changed to say English only. What a scam. Would it have been so hard to include both an English and a Japanese audio track like with all the Miyazaki movies? Now I have to return it and buy it here in Japan, (where it costs twice as much). What a waste of time. Thanks, Viz.
