Editorial Review:

Album Description:
2008 album from the R&B superstar. Here I Stand is Usher's follow-up to his history-making, nine-times platinum-selling Confessions. The album tells the story of growth: triumphant, reflective, somewhat defiant and it marks a new period in Usher's life and creative expression. Here I Stand finds Usher working with some of the best producers and writers around including Polow Da Don, Jermaine Dupre, Dre & Vidal and Dream & Tricky Stewart. Features the first single 'Love In The Club'. Laface.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Stand for nothing, fall for anything
Usher becomes the victim of his own success on this album. If Jaheim or Raheem DeVaughn or Dwele had released the exact same album, it would have been a classic, but not for Usher. Instead, he comes off as a former superstar, trendsetter who's gone soft. This, for me, is not a bad thing because I can relate to this Usher better having been married 2yrs ago myself.

Songs like "Appetite", "Before I Met You" & "Here I Stand" are real/relevant to me and they stand out as my favourites. The ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Boring
I underastand that you have to make lighter creations when a parent, but OMFG this album has two songs and they are on video MTV, VH1, ect...A very forgetable project and album. Usher she get back to the music we have grown to love and not this garbage.

An Amazon.com purchase i wish I could return.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - HERE IS USHER'S STAND:PARENTHOOD AND MATURITY
I REALLY LIKE THIS ALBUM!! This album is great. This album hit number one despite the critics and fans alike. This album is a testament to his maturity as both man and father. This album tells a story of growth: triumphant, reflective, somewhat defiant, and it marks a new period in Usher's life and creative expression. This album will go Platinum.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Adult Usher
I am probably older than the majority of Usher's fans, but none the less I am a fan. This CD defines a different Usher: Usher almost 30, Usher the husband, father, and the man. For the most part he has never had negative publicity; that alone is a major plus. I have enjoyed this CD the most.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Weak.
Most of the songs on this cd are forgetable. I'm gonna write usher and ask for my money back. after his last disc i was expecting a masterpiece...NOT!! Needs to hire some good producers. not hating just telling it how i feel.
