Rating:  - Karat Platinum isn't official but...I bought these for my fiance' to match her platinum rings. Karat Platinum is 58.5% platinum. I've learned PLAT950 or PLAT is generally 95% platinum. PLATIRID is 90% Platinum (10% Iridium). (Apparently 14K gold is 58% gold and 18K gold is 75% gold). There seems to be some controversy over Karat platinum as it is not officially recognized by some jewelry metal groups. But it is a lot cheaper. These are much lighter than I thought they would be.
